Q: I am looking for different ways to cook with Hamburger - recipes please.?
We are tired of hamburgers, meatloaf and mixing it with noodles - any new recipes out there.....
A: Here are a couple different ideas
MEXICAN HAMBURGERS (CHULETAS)
Salsa Fria:
1 10 oz can diced tomatoes with green chiles
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon wine vinegar
Chuletas:
2 cups Saltines, finely crushed
3 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
1 cup Vidalia onions, chopped
1/2 tsp garlic powder (not salt)
1 lb ground chuck (beef)
1 egg
1 tsp salt
1 tsp chili powder
1 cup oil (for frying)
Garnish:
Rings of red onion, slices of avocado, sour cream and sprigs of cilantro
Combine all Salsa Fria ingredients. Refrigerate for at least one hour.
On a sheet of wax paper, evenly spread cracker crumbs. Combine parsley, onions, ground meat, garlic powder, egg, chili powder and salt in a small bowl. Form 4 patties and coat each pattie with the cracker crumbs evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (but no more than 3 hours) to thoroughly chill.
Heat oil until it is hot enough to brown a 1 inch cube of bread in a little over 1 minute. (Don't get oil too hot or center of patties won't cook through). Fry patties in oil well browned on outside and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
Serve on a bed of iceberg lettuce with a few rings of red onion, topped with Salsa Fria and with a dollop of sour cream with a sprig of cilantro to the side and a slice of avocado.
HAMBURGER STUFFED FRENCH BREAD
1 loaf French bread
1 onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 lb ground beef, browned w/onion and garlic
1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
salt and pepper to taste
1 1/2 cups shredded cheese (any type)
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
In a skillet, sauté hamburger with minced garlic, chopped onion and (optional) parsley.
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Carve top in a circle (leaving a "cap" that you will replace on top later) out of French bread and hollow out the middle. Break up the bread innards into small pieces and set aside in a medium bowl.
To these bread crumbs, add the browned hamburger mixture, condensed cream of mushroom soup, and seasonings to taste.
Mix ingredients well and restuff this mixture back into French bread shell.
Top with cheese and replace the top (hopefully you saved it).
Wrap in aluminum foil and bake in 350°F oven 20 minutes. This will melt the cheese and help the flavors to combine. Slice and serve. Individually wrapped slices freeze well and make a quick and yummy take-to-work lunch.

Loco Moco
Loco Moco is a favorite dish in Hawaii.
You form hamburger patties and fry them.
In the mean time, make some brown gravy from packages (McCormicks works the best).
Put the cooked the patties over rice.
Fry eggs sunny side up. Place eggs on top of the patties.
Add fried onions if you desire
Cover in brown gravy and enjoy!
Q: Why do most hamburger recipes call for eggs?
Just wondering what the eggs add to the recipe?
Do they add flavour or are they there to hold the meat together?
And the same goes for bread crumbs in a burger...
Are they mainly used for flavour, texture or structure?
Thanks!
A: Eggs are used as a binder in hamburger recipes. You really need to use an egg the lower the fat content of the meat.
Bread crumbs are used as an extender, generally speaking. By using a heavily flavored bread, like rye or pumpernickel, it can also change the flavor of the dish. Bread with a high content of coarse ground grain will also change the texture. But I think that any regular recipe that calls for bread in a hamburger dish, the reason is extender. That way you don't have to use too much meat and you can feed more with less.
Q: Easy hamburger meat recipes?
The great thing about hamburger meat is there so many different recipes. but of course the ones i know ive used so many times and are now getting tired of the same ones. I was wondering if anyone would have easy interesting recipes for hamburger meat?
A: HI, I have an easy yummy idea! Go into the Hispanic food aisle and look for a small can of Pato tomatoe sauce, theres 3 different kinds a green can a red can and a yellow can there all good so any one will do, and you will need either canned vegetables or I always use frozen, If you can find tostadas, or use regular tortillas, chopped lettuce and cheese and sour cream. Ok brown hambuger with onion salt, add can or cans depending how much hambuger your using of Pato and Vegatables how much is up to you add a bit of water and simmer the mix for like 20 minutes. When its ready take tostada or tortilla add sour cream add Hambuger mixture and top with your choice of toppings, cheese lettuce? And it easy and good, it sounds so complicating kind of but its really easy and good.

A: ok couple of suggestions...
www.beefitswhatsfordinner.com
also try www.foodnetwork.com
they have a search engine on there and you can find all kinds of recipes for more than just beef hundreds of different stuff...
now i do have a recipe that my mom and i used to do
You will need a muffin pan
a roll of basic biscuits (the cheap like 3 or 4 for a dollar ones, nothing expensive or fancy)
taco seasoning
garlic powder or salt
salsa
cheddar cheese (or anything that goes well with taco flavor)
and of course hamburger meat lol
...brown your hamburger..amount depends on how many your feeding ofcourse...but put in some taco seasoning and garlic powder or salt to taste...
now spray your muffin pan with cooking spray to prevent sticking...
take the biscuits and individually gently stretch them out a little and place them in individual muffin holes...making like a pocket...spoon a small amount of taco meat dont put too much or it will bake over lol
top with cheese and bake like 10 minuts if not a little less basically till the biscuits brown and the cheese melts and serve with the salsa...getting the biscuits right without ripping them can take a little practice
but i made these once for a bunch of friends and they loved
you can alter it some for different tastes..like add green chilis or you dont have to use taco if you want you could do like italian and a little spaghetti sauce and make them italian...
hope that helps
ENJOY

i need a recipe to fix for my husband that includes hamburger and angel hair pasta but i don't have tomatoes to make sauce and i don't have money to go and get any sauce either. please help me.
A: If you have any creamy soups (like cream of mushroom, cream of chicken, beefy mushroom, etc) you can boil the pasta & drain, cook the meat and drain, then mix everything with the soup (straight from the can - do not add water) as a sauce. Season to taste.
You can add frozen of fresh sauteed veggies, whatever you have, for variety.
I've made this several times with different soups / different veggies for a variety of tastes.
Happy Cooking! =)
